Southern Florida District celebrates 100 years of NMI through Haiti mission trip

At least 75 people accepted Jesus as their Savior through the efforts of a unique youth team from the Southern Florida District that traveled to Gros-Morne, Haiti, from August 4 to 11. The trip was the district's project for Nazarene Missions International's 100th anniversary celebration.

Revival in Lowershire

I would like to share what the Lord is doing in my District -the Malawi Lowershire. The Nsanje Church of the Nazarene recently conducted a two-day revival meeting. This church is at the distance of 1.5 kms to Nsanje Port which is very close to Mozambique border. The first day, it was conducted outside the church building from 16:00pm-22:00pm. The guest preacher was Reverend Wellington Obotte from Kenya who is also the Evangelism and Church Growth coordinator for Africa Central Field. He preached about the "Beginning of Everything" from the book of Genesis chapters 1-3. On this day during the altar call, 83 people gave their lives to Jesus and we were all satisfied that mass evangelism is still effective.

Are we REALLY making a difference?

We asked team leaders in a South Asian Country (which cannot be named due to security concerns) about the effectiveness of the JESUS Film in their country. We were astonished, encouraged, and blessed by the comments made by the leaders of the 50 teams in the country. Following is a sample of those comments: The JESUS Film team members took part in a long brain storming session and presented their justification in favor of the JESUS Film Harvest Partners ministry and its future continuation throughout the country.

In one of the villages we showed the JESUS Film, we did not receive any positive feedback at all. We decided to move on. However about a week later, after one showing in another village, we were walking back to our home when we were warned there were robbers on the way. We decided to spend the night in the village we had been in a week earlier. Imagine our surprise when the villagers greeted us warmly with many questions about Jesus! We were able to share the gospel with them again, answering their questions.

JESUS Film "Let It Rain!"

A group of 35 Nazarene Missions International (NMI) leaders from the U.S.A., Canada, and Trinidad and Tobago traveled recently to Sri Lanka and India to pray and partner with local Nazarenes in a Prayer Vision Journey. One stop was to pray during a JESUS film showing on a tea estate in Sri Lanka. The village square was immediately adjacent to the temple.
