You open doors to miracles: healing

Pulse Banner

“You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples.”
Psalm 77:14 (NIV)

Dear Friends & Partners,

We have a wonder-working God! The God of the universe set the world on its axis, creating everything from nothing.

This same God is willing to work miracles for you. It is a testament to His incredible, sacrificial, and earth-moving love. Those who believe gain an all-powerful Father who calls them His own.

Read the miraculous story of Sunil in India, a man who was healed and adopted into God’s family:

“I belong to a family that worshiped many gods. I used to worry about my life because I never felt peace or rest. I was a very sick man. Whatever I earned went towards my health treatment.

One day, the JESUS Film team came to my village and shared how Jesus Christ will heal the sick. They explained how Jesus Christ is God. He gives you peace and takes your burdens if you believe in Him. I believed in Him and was healed!

Now I am a follower of Jesus Christ. I used to spend time worshiping idols, but now I worship my God! Praise the Lord.”

There are still so many who do not know the life-changing love of God that Sunil now knows. They have yet to know the healing which can only be found in His care. However, JESUS Film teams are working tirelessly to make sure they find it.

Be encouraged today — your support and prayers are opening doors to miracles of healing, growing the family of God as new brothers and sisters are adopted into His family!

You are loved.

You care for widows

Pulse Banner

“The Lord watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless.”
Psalm 146:9a (ESV)

Dear Friends & Partners,

Hanging on a cross, a thief found salvation. On a shame-filled walk to a well, an adulterous woman found new life. These familiar stories of the gospel resonate with us because they remind us of our own stories of redemption. Add to this list of redeemed the story of Agatha, a widow who in her darkest of times had a divine appointment with God.

Agatha, a 62-year-old widow, works as a babysitter in El Salvador. One day, she was caught shoplifting, though this was her only run-in with the law. It resulted in an imprisonment for three days. While she waited for the judge, she was assigned an officer. This officer was also a JESUS Film team member! He shared the gospel with her, and she agreed to attend a Preaching Point service with him if she was freed.

The judge did free her! The best part of her testimony happened next:

“She came to the next church service. She came forward, opened her heart to Christ, and made the decision to accept Him. Her iniquities were erased and she repented with her whole heart. She went back to work. Now she faithfully attends services. Hallelujah!”

Many people would call Agatha’s story a chance encounter, but this JESUS Film team member knows it was the providence of God. The Psalmist penned the words “The Lord watches over the sojourners, he upholds the widow and the fatherless,” thousands of years ago. God continues to care for widows in the most extraordinary of ways.

Know when you pray, give, and go, you are a part of helping care for widows around the world.

When you pray, when you give, when you go, you do so much more—you strengthen a weary world!

You are loved.

You Strengthen a Weary World

Pulse Banner

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:28-30 (ESV)

Dear Friends & Partners,

Pause.

Take a deep breath.

Don't think about all the other e-mails filling your inbox at this moment. Only think about the verse you just read. Jesus wants to trade your burden and give your soul rest! Revel in this rest for a moment. Isn’t it amazing?

As you remember this rest, I want to tell you about Elizabeth. She is 20-years-old and lives in Ecuador, likely many miles from where you sit and read this e-mail, but her story is one with which we all can identify.

Elizabeth came face-to-face with the weight of the world and the burden sin causes.

“At 17-years-old I left my home to study. I had many friends and my classes were going rather well. I thought my life was okay. However, I never realized I was starting to change and have different ideologies. It's hard to admit, but I started to create a MONSTER. I started going to clubs and learned about the empty lives of those young people. Going out only on Friday turned into Saturday, then any night of the week. My classwork suffered but I thought it was okay. I always gave positive reports to my family and they always trusted me. I began to inquire about Satanism and occultist things and could not even pray. I felt distrusting of others and lazy. I was giving more power to the monster within me.

Then one day, by the grace of God, I met the JESUS Film team and met their Jesus. I never went back to being who I was. I prayed because I understood I needed strength. I could no longer do it alone and needed something beyond human power to help me carry the weight. I needed God to clean the garbage I carried in my life. I went to a Bible retreat and experienced so much forgiveness from the King. I feel full, complete, loved and happy. God's way is not easy but He is with us. The world's way is not easy either, but the difference is in the world, you are alone. I pray every day for everyone in the world to accept the invitation of the King and live like the prince or princess they are.”

Elizabeth’s hope is our hope. Everyone deserves to know they are loved by the King of Kings. Elizabeth had become afraid of sin, the Monster within. Her sin nature was overcoming her and she was afraid of losing herself to it. However, thanks to the redeeming work of Christ which was proclaimed by the JESUS Film team, she now knows there is a different way. She lives every day knowing she is a princess of the eternal King.

There are so many who still feel alone, weary, and unloved. JESUS Film teams are working around the clock and across the globe to introduce them to the freedom and love that Christ brings. Will you prayerfully consider supporting teams in their work today?

When you pray, when you give, when you go, you do so much more—you strengthen a weary world!

You are loved.

You Help Share the Gift of Eternal Life

Pulse Banner

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God
is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 6:23 (NLT)

Dear Friends & Partners,

What is the best gift you’ve ever received? When this question is posed we often think of something tangible—perhaps an electronic item like an Apple Watch, or jewelry, like an engagement ring. This gift is likely valuable to you because there is a significant memory or life milestone attached to the moment when you received this gift.

Ernesto’s story of his best gift ever is unique and begins with difficulty. His mother had severe nerve disease and practiced the occult, driving him to alcoholism. The occult leaders advised his mother to give up on life, causing her to attempt suicide various times. When Ernesto was 10-years-old, she threw herself from the third floor in front of him.

But God had a plan to rescue, to redeem, to resurrect, a family some thought was already in the grave. Read his testimony below and know you are part of helping share the gift of eternal life. You are part of those who powerfully share the signs, spoken of by Jesus just after His resurrection.

“When I saw the JESUS film and the miracles Jesus performed, I felt hope and thought, “God can also do a miracle in my family.” My wife and I gave our lives to the Lord. Tomorrow is my birthday and Jesus is the best gift I have ever received."

Ernesto is now 24-years-old and his house is a Preaching Point in Cuba.

From the clutches of death to the eternity of life, each of us can be inspired by Ernesto’s words today. They remind us of the intangible, priceless gift no one can take away from us—the gift of eternal life!

This Bible is filled with words of encouragement and promises of everlasting life. After JESUS Film teams show the JESUS film, they disciple the people with the Word of God. Many people cannot, will not, or do not read, but your teams disciple them using audio Bibles and Bible Story Cloths.

Thank you for your prayerful and thoughtful support of the teams today.

A blessed Easter to you and yours! Be all about resurrecting life, one life at a time!

You are loved.

You Help Reunite Broken Marriages

Pulse Banner

“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NIV)

Dear Friends & Partners,

All around the world, those without Christ are finding the pressures of the world take a toll on their relationships.

Many are like Pablo, a 29-year-old man in Ecuador whose world was turned upside down one day. Read his testimony below and be encouraged by the amazing transformations your support is enabling every month.

“One day I got on a public bus and had a terrible surprise. I saw my wife sitting next to the bus driver. They both seemed to be infatuated with each other. At various times, they would hold each other’s hand. My wife didn’t see me get on the bus. I didn’t know what to do, yet my emotions took hold. I stood up and spoke to both of them very harshly. When we arrived home, we had a big argument. A little later our daughter walked in. We didn’t want her to know what was happening, so we calmed down. In the days that followed, I felt my marriage was falling apart. I lost my trust in her and was wondering if I still loved her. My heart was filled with hatred and ideas of revenge. Suicide taunted me. However, my love for my daughter restrained me. My wife constantly begged for forgiveness, but that only made me hate and despise her even more.

One night I decided to go for a walk with my daughter through the park in our neighborhood. They were showing a movie on a big screen so we stopped to watch. A little later, my wife showed up looking for us. All three of us stayed to watch the film together. At the end of the film, all three of us made a decision to go forward and receive the Lord. When we arrived home, I hugged both my wife and daughter. We cried together, but they were tears of joy. I forgave my wife because the JESUS film taught me about true forgiveness. I realized I had hurt my wife in many ways. Perhaps, that was part of the reason she was unfaithful. I felt guilty I too was responsible for the problems in our marriage. We decided to have marriage counseling. Little by little Jesus is healing our hearts and our home in a marvelous way. In addition, the church has become a refuge for our family where our faith and marriage is being rebuilt. Thank you, Jesus, for coming into our hearts!”

I see Pablo’s story as an example of what God wants to do through you in the lives of others around the world. It looked as if his marriage was over, but today he and his wife are being reconciled by the healing power of Christ.

Many more men, women, and children are still lost and hurting. However, they can be redeemed and restored in the year ahead through the faithful work of JESUS Film teams. I urge you to prayerfully consider supporting the work of teams today.

When you pray, when you give, when you go, you do so much more—you provide the Good News of Christ which transforms lives!

You are loved.
