"Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation."

Prayer Points:
  • Tanzania teams request prayer as they show the JESUS film in areas where darkness and evil spirits abound.
  • Tanzania remains an “island of peace” amid many troubled nations. Over one million people have sought refuge here. Pray the JESUS Film teams reach these needy people with the gospel.
  • There is a critical need for trained leaders as many pastors serve several churches. Pray the discipleship classes led by the teams will encourage new believers to learn more about their faith and lead the Preaching Points.
“Tanzania Team #3 report: "Having received permission from the Chief of the area, we showed the JESUS film in an area predominantly inhabited by people from a radical religious group. We were very blessed to see many people come to watch the life of Christ. After the showing, a young woman named Amina asked us to pray for her. She was touched by seeing the sacrifice Christ made on the cross for her sins. She repented and accepted Christ into her heart! Her family belongs to the radical religious group, so she is being discipled in secret."

Prayer Points:
  • Liberian teams request prayer for God’s strength and passion to overcome obstacles as they travel and show the film in towns and villages.
  • Liberia is rebuilding after two civil wars where the country was devastated and the people traumatized. Pray for the teams as they share Christ as the answer to life.
  • Many pastors fled the country or were killed during the wars, so the need is great for new leaders to be trained for ministry. Pray the teams' discipleship classes will be a beginning point to this needed training.
Liberia Team #1 report: "We showed the JESUS film in a town where most worshipped the devil. No church had been able to minister in the town, however, permission was given to show the film on the town square by the town chief. We went from home to home, personally inviting the townspeople to the film showing. Hundreds came to watch the life of Christ in their own language. A few minutes into the showing, the devil worshippers arrived to disturb the showing. At that moment, a strong thunderstorm arrived. We prayed throughout the storm. The clouds became lighter and the storm moved on. The people returned to watch the rest of the film unhindered. Many youth and adults came forward for prayer, asking Jesus to forgive their sins. One of the leaders of the town, Kerkpeh, along with his two wives and children, came forward to give their lives to Christ. Kerkpeh opened his home to discipleship classes and a Preaching Point began in this town!"

FEBRUARY 15 - 21

Prayer Points:
  • The Ugandan teams request prayer for the Holy Spirit to guide and direct them to the towns and villages where they are to show the JESUS film.
  • Millions of people have been displaced and live in tent camps due to the harassment by the military. Pray for the teams as they tell of Christ's love for these displaced people.
  • Growing numbers of people are joining radical religious groups. Pray the teams will be able to reach these people with the true gospel message through the JESUS film.
"Uganda Team #2 report: "The third day we showed the JESUS film, men from a radical religious group arrived to watch the film. We were afraid they planned to disrupt the showing. However, at the end of the film, one of these men came forward during the altar call! He wanted to give his heart and life to Christ. He asked Jesus to forgive him for his wrongdoings. He then asked us to pray for his protection from his family. A few days later, he testified that he has peace in his heart and in his family!"

FEBRUARY 22 - 28

Prayer Points:
  • Congolese teams request prayer for their safety and protection for the equipment as they show the film.
  • Pray for many Congolese souls to be saved as they watch the life of Christ in the film.
  • In recent decades, there has been a phenomenal increase in Christ-followers. Pray these individuals will pursue a personal relationship with Christ.
"Chief Kaswete organized rebels to fight neighboring tribes. When we showed the JESUS film in his town, different area tribes also came to watch! Chief Kaswete realized Christ came to earth for all tribes and nations. He repented of his sins and then told everyone they could live wherever they desired in his community, no matter what tribe they were from! Everyone praised God for the freedom they now have. Chief Kaswete also gave property so a church can be built in his community.  — Democratic Republic of Congo Team #7
