Prayer Points

  • Ethiopian teams have a unique ministry strategy where new and seasoned believers work as a team. Because of this, over 97% of Ethiopians who make a decision for Christ receive discipleship follow-up. Praise God for these believers’ zealous faith and the continually multiplying harvest in Ethiopia! 
  • The majority of Ethiopians are oral learners. Pray for the orality champions sharing Bible stories to reach the ears of the 34 million unreached people living in this African nation.

Team report: “Our team invited Daniel, a well-known religious leader in the area, to join us for breakfast. We shared the JESUS film with him by cell phone. After he watched, he made a decision for Christ and asked our team if he can borrow the phone. God is working through Daniel – ten more are already following Jesus as he leads people into the Kingdom.”

Prayer Points

  • Teams request prayer for passion for lost souls, spiritual strength, unity, and for God to open many doors for the gospel.
  • Praise God for the rapid growth of the church in the Dominican Republic! Last year alone, teams helped 1,681 people make decisions for Christ – the second-most in the Mesoamerican region! Pray each of these new believers grows in their faith and shares the Good News with even more around them.

German’s testimony: “Blessed be our God who allowed the church to help my family in this crisis. The pandemic left me without work and we were having a difficult time. The church has helped us a lot. We were not left in need of anything in the midst of this crisis. Together, my family has listened to the preaching shared by the JESUS Film team through Zoom. God has touched our hearts! My wife, two daughters, and I have all accepted the Lord.”

Prayer Points

  • Zambia teams request prayer as they go to hard-to-reach areas where there is not yet a church and revive struggling Preaching Points. 
  • John, a leader of one Zambian team, recently passed away. Please pray for John’s family as they mourn, and pray for new team members as they prepare their hearts and minds for ministry.
  • Pray that God would grow a spiritual fervency among Zambian believers, sending them out with the gospel to the poor, sick, and spiritually needy.

Sarah’s testimony: “I have five children, but my poor decisions have caused each of them to distance themselves from me. This made me distraught. By the teaching of the JESUS Film team and watching the film, my heart is now calm. I am happy for the peace Jesus brought into my life. It is a great thing to know the Lord. I know He has forgiven my sins and I will never be the same. I am committed to Christ!”

Prayer Points

  • Gael, leader of Mexico team #62, requests prayer for “God to open the windows of heaven into every place where the JESUS film is shown, so the Holy Spirit touches hearts.”
  • Many areas of Mexico do not yet have a church. Teams hope to plant over 600 new Preaching Points this year. Pray for them as they work in areas with great spiritual and physical warfare, including alcoholism, abuse, political conflicts, poverty, and violent crime.

Rosita’s testimony: “I was invited to a Bible study via Zoom. It was a pleasure to learn about God and meet other friends in this very beautiful time. I realized God is more than a theory, and I can have a personal relationship with Him. I prayed and committed my life to God, and felt such a beautiful peace. For the next meetings, I will invite other people to join us who also need the Lord.”
