Praise God for the positive reports from teams last year, including “many prominent people in the local community came to the Lord,” and “persecution was less than usual.” Pray these spiritual victories continue as the gospel multiplies in Ethiopia, and that teams are encouraged by this momentum.
This year, teams plan to travel further to show the film in more remote villages. Pray for travel mercies for the teams. Pray also for peace for the team members’ families while they are gone, for strength to support the ministry and for their own close walk with the Lord and witness to others.
Praise God for this testimony from Brazil team #6: “Even with great challenges, we don’t stop. We have seen God restore lives, families, and health! We have seen fruit.”
Teams request prayer as they search for new and creative ways to share the gospel in their ever-changing cultures. Pray for all spiritual falsehoods, idols, and each Brazilian’s need for Christ to be exposed.
Pray alongside team #9 for their fellow team members to “see challenges as opportunities for growth, innovation, and strengthening the faith of the team and local church.”
Praise God alongside Cote d’Ivoire teams for many opportunities to make Jesus Christ known this past year, including a door-to-door strategy that increased their evangelism footprint in communities. They also saw success in the orality movement, which helps new believers spread the message of the gospel by retelling Bible stories.
More women have stepped up to lead Preaching Points. Pray they are powerful and unique witnesses to Christ in their communities. Â
This year, teams have a goal of evangelizing in areas dominated by a radical religion. Pray that God opens doors in dangerous, unreached places and sensitizes the hearts of those they evangelize.
Burundian team leaders request prayer for their team members to have unwavering strength and unity in their vision to save more souls.
Pray for elders and high-profile villagers to provide and voice their support as they seek to show the film in communities.
Pray for sustained Christian leadership in the midst of Burundi’s fragile peace. Pray for more Christian workers in the rural areas where refugees are returning.
